One sentence was enough

Discipline = motivation + consistency.
Just motivation isn’t enough. So yes, I’ve probably lacked some consistsency over the past few months. And honestly? Getting back into something once you’ve stopped is way harder than just sticking with it in the first place. Nothing groundbreaking here — but it hit me again.
For months, I kept telling myself: “I want to write a blog post again.” And still, I didn’t. Not because I didn’t want to — but because.. well you know life and changing circumstances (on which more soon!) and the simple fact that starting became more and more of a challenge. Or maybe it just became easier not to start.
And for me, this was writing this blogpost, but I bet you recognise the situation... Whether it's getting back to the gym, eating more veggies or any other new years resolution that might have thrived (good for you!) or died (no worries I feel you) in the first quarter of 2025.
I don't want to make this too heavy because the wonderful part is; you can always start again. It wasn’t a big dramatic moment that changed that. I just opened my laptop this morning, stared at the screen, and thought: let's go! So I wrote one sentence. That was enough. It was my motivation that started the engine again, now I will try to stay true to my consistency ;)
I do want to highlight the power of choice. You can always choose again. It's there every single second and this creates endless opportunitie! So sync with your timing and feel what is needed. Sometimes that might be an extra push,while other times it might be a break. Be honest to yourself and choose.
For now; a short and easy first post, for me to get started and for you to get reading again. And a little nudge for you too; if you’ve been putting something off, what would you like to start again? Starting again might feel awkward. But awkward is fine. - Actually I love a little bit of awkwardness. I think we should celebrate it more and that it makes people unique, but that's a blog for another time. - For now one sentence, one step, one try — it counts.
